LG finally launched the Rolling Bot to take care of your pet
At first glance,Rolling Bot robotlooks very same legendary BB-8 in the Star Wars series. Yet, it is a useful invention of LG to help remotely monitor your house.
LG- the manufacture has called Rolling Bot as "companion device". It means with Rolling Bot can help you watch out of your house or even spy on your dog when you are not at home.
LG Rolling Bot is a home monitoring system
It can be done because that the Robot has an integrated 8MP camera for a live stream of everything that’s happening in your home. There is a microSD slot if you want to capture and save photos or videos. You can easily control it via smartphone apps and WiFi connection. In addition, the robot has a special mode, helping you to play with your pet. You can also talk to your dog or cat or anykind of pets through a mic that's installed inside.
Besides an integrated camera, the LG Rolling Bot features also a microphone, a speaker and some LEDs
The 20cm LG Rolling Bot can connect to other home devices via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and anything with infrared. LG representative didn't provide more details of things it could do. However, they try to convince the public that Rolling Bot can help you remotely do whatever you want as long as the devices can connect to each other.
Users can move it around your house and use it a remote control. With an infra-red emitter, we can expect Bot to be effective at temperature and light controls. It can also control different appliances in your home - the TV, sound systems, air conditioner, among other things.
LG has not released information about price and time on the shelves of Rolling Bot. Yet, the Rolling Bot will be on the shelves around the same time the G5 goes on sale. This is because only the LG G5 will work with the Bot at first.The compatibility of the Rolling Bot comes as a question as well. It seems to be limited to just LG smart devices.
